Lonely Night (Angel Face)

"Lonely Night (Angel Face)" is a song written by Neil Sedaka, who first recorded the song for his 1975 album, The Hungry Years. The following year, the song was a hit single for Captain & Tennille, for whom Sedaka had written the duo's hit single, "Love Will Keep Us Together". "Lonely Night (Angel Face)" reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and number one on the Easy Listening chart in March 1976.[1] In Canada, it went to number one on the RPM National Top Singles Chart, hitting the pole position on April 17, 1976, and holding it for two weeks before bowing out to "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen.[2][3] It was their third of fourteen hit singles.
